OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington is on track to fully reopen by June 30.

Governor Jay Inslee made the announcement at a news conference Thursday.

He also says a full reopening could happen even sooner if 70% or more of residents over age 16 have gotten at least one dose of vaccine.

Inslee stresses that it can only happen if people get vaccinated, noting that we all have to continue the vaccination effort.

His office will be watching ICU occupancy rates to make sure the state is on track to re-open by the target date.

The governor also said that no counties will be going backward and the whole state will be in Phase 3 of the Roadmap to Recovery re-opening plan next Tuesday.
