WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) – Republican and Democratic U.S. senators, including one from Washington, announced a plan aimed at stabilizing health insurance markets.
The deal negotiated by Republican Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Democrat Patty Murray of Washington would continue insurer payments for two years.
President Trump terminated Obamacare subsidies, but said he approves of the deal.
However, some conservatives are denouncing it as an insurance company bailout.
