OLYMPIA, Wash. — The results of Washington state’s 2020 General Election have been certified.
The Secretary of State’s Office says more Washington residents voted in this year’s General Election than in any election in the state’s history with an 84.14% turnout.
That’s less than half a percent shy of the all-time record set in the 2008 General Election.
Secretary of State Kim Wyman says she believes this election’s success is due in part to the state’s strong relationships with the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, U.S. Postal Service and Washington National Guard that helped secure elections and earn voter confidence.
