SEATTLE, Wash. — Washington State Ferries is taking coronavirus precautions.

Under State Ferry Safety and Management guidelines, crews are instructed to clean vessels thoroughly before each departure, which includes wiping down tables, seats, scrubbing sinks and faucets, and cleaning all surfaces with a disinfectant.

The agency says their terminals are also routinely cleaned.

Those who drive on the ferry may want to stay in their vehicles for the crossing while those in the passenger cabin should try to maintain a personal distance of six feet to avoid catching a respiratory illness.
