OLYMPIA, Wash. – It’s opening day in Washington!

Businesses can open to full capacity and fully vaccinated residents can mostly go without masks in public.

The state Department of Health says the mask mandate remains for unvaccinated people indoors in public, and they’re encouraged to wear them in outdoor settings.

And everyone must continue to wear masks in certain settings including health care facilities, schools and public transit.

The Secretary of Health urges everyone to “respect the room they’re in” when it comes to health precautions.
