Renton, Wash. – (AP) Our state’s four living former governors joined Governor Inslee Tuesday at a memorial service for Mike Lowry.
He served one term as the state’s top elected official in the 1990s.
Inslee spoke at the service, praising Lowry’s work to expand access to health care.
“he was always motivated by conscience, compassion and conviction. He always comforted the afflicted and afflicted the comfortable.”
Chris Gregoire, Gary Locke, Dan Evans and John Spellman all attended the service in Renton.
