OLYMPIA, Wash. – Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced Thursday, February 17th, his office has obtained a preliminary injunction against the company “Center For COVID Control” that blocks it from providing COVID-19 testing services in Washington State while litigation continues against the company.
Ferguson filed the lawsuit last month after the Illinois-based company provided invalid, false, and sometimes no test results to Washingtonians who were trying to find out if they were infected with COVID.
The company’s unlawful practices included storing tests in garbage bags for over a week rather than properly refrigerating them and backdating sample collection dates so that stale samples would still be processed.
In addition, as part of the court order, the company agreed to never again operate in Washington State.
