Washington teachers now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington teachers are now eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Governor Inslee said today that educators and licensed childcare workers are moving up to Washington’s Phase 1B-1 immediately.

Officials expect this priority on vaccinations for school employees will speed up the timeline for many school districts who are working to begin or expand in-person learning.

Inslee said his office will make another announcement soon with an update on when other workgroups will be able to get the vaccine.
