Washington’s Most Distracted Drivers are in Sammamish, survey says

SAMMAMISH, Wash. — A new survey ranks Sammamish to have Washington’s Most Distracted Drivers.

The Davis Law Group says 30.77% of crashes in Sammamish from 2013-2017 were caused by a distracted driver, which is nearly double both the national average and the rate in Washington’s second most distracted city, Lakewood.

Of the twenty-four cities, Bellingham is close to the middle with an average of 8.99%, putting it 13th on the list.

Everett, Bellevue and Marysville round out the top 5, while Yakima is considered the least distracted.
