BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom Community College’s cybersecurity program is gaining more national attention.

On Thursday, January 20th, the college’s National Security Training and Education Center announced that they will be partnering with the U.S. Cyber Command Academic Engagement Network, or AEN.

WCC was one of only 14 community colleges in the country to be chosen for a partnership with the AEN.

Cybersecurity students will now have access to webinars, resources, and guest lectures on cyberspace topics.

David Frederick, the Executive Director for the US Cyber Command, says that the partnership is designed to meet the demands of the expanding cybersecurity workforce.
