BELLINGHAM, Wash. —
The English program at Whatcom Community College got national recognition.
WCC is one of two winners of the 2020 Awards for Outstanding Programs in English by the Two-year College English Association.
Their informed self-placement program was selected as an exemplary program in the “fostering student success” category.
The program helps new students determine their ideal first English course at Whatcom, improving access to college-level English classes for students of all backgrounds.
