BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom Community College received more than $770,000 for aerospace and healthcare training.
WCC announced that the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges approved grants to expand the two programs.
The aerospace grant will fund forty full-time students, making the community college the only comprehensive engineering transfer program north of Everett. Multiple engineering-related pathways will be offered.
WCC will also lead a new Hospital Employee Education and Training project and continue healthcare education partnerships with area community colleges to support workforce needs.
