CONCRETE, Wash. – Fishers have an opening today and tomorrow for Skagit river steelhead- a first since 2010.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife announced on Thursday the catch-and-release opening in the portion of the river between Marblemount and Concrete.
Additional Wednesday through Sunday openings are set for April 18-22 and April 25-29.
The Department says steelhead populations are rebounding in the river.
