BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Restrictions on open burning in unincorporated Whatcom County go into effect Monday, July 27.
The Whatcom Fire Marshall’s announcement says all land clearing and yard debris burning must be discontinued at 8am Monday, and all issued burn permits are suspended.
Recreational fires will still be allowed in contained enclosures with seasoned wood or charcoal, when wind speeds are low.
