UPDATE: Amendments to the Whatcom County Charter weren’t introduced at the County Council meeting Tuesday night after all.
Council members Rud Browne and Todd Donovan had intended to bring an amendment that would allow the council to put amendments to the charter on the ballot with a super majority of five out of seven votes rather than a unanimous vote.
And Rud Browne wanted the council to consider an amendment that would return to a countywide vote on all members of the council.
