BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom County Council addressed homelessness at its meeting Tuesday night.
The council voted unanimously to ask the administration to consider county property that might be proper for locating storage lockers for homeless people to use to store their property.
A group call Safe Storage PNW has been lobbying for that program.
The council also directed staff to draft ordinances to amend County Code to allow tiny homes to be built for the homeless.
