WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash.- Whatcom County’s COVID-19 infection rate is now low, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Skagit, San Juan, Island and Kitsap are the other Western Washington counties that are also in the low range.
Most Washington counties are rated “medium,” and the number of high-transmission counties is down to just seven.
The CDC recommends that people should wear a mask in public if they have symptoms, a positive test or have been exposed to an infected person.
