BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Whatcom County employee was arrested Sunday after a Western Washington University student accused him of raping her.
Court documents show the victim met with a man using the name “Jake” on Tinder, and though they tried to have sex during their first meet-up, they couldn’t.
The victim told police “Jake” kept pursuing her and she tried to ignore him, but finally allowed him to visit her at her dorm on December 7th.
She told him they wouldn’t have sex and said he understood, but he began touching her sexually despite her telling him to stop.
The victim said he then moved her to the bed and tried to have sex with her, but she screamed in pain and pushed him away, at which point he ran away.
The man hasn’t been charged yet.
