BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom County is in the midst of a controversial study on limiting fossil fuel exports from Cherry Point.
The Whatcom County Council heard public comments Tuesday night concerning the temporary moratorium placed on the export of unrefined fossil fuels.
After hearing heated statements supporting and opposing the moratorium, the council voted to extend it another six months.
