WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — The state is awarding counties 116-million-dollars for outdoor recreation and conservation projects.
Whatcom County is set to receive close to 1.3-million-dollars for various projects across the county.
The largest projects include work at Bloedel Donovan Park and Tennet Lake, as well as two conservation grants for Anderson Creek area farms and Cougar Creek Ranch to ensure they will stay open to farming and not be developed.
