BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom County Health Department says they’re expanding local coronavirus testing.
With current resources, the Health Department says it can meet its goal that people showing symptoms can get tested the same day or day after and get test results back in one or two days, or in some cases, hours.
Communicable Disease & Epidemiology Manager Cindy Hollinsworth says they have expanded testing beyond health care workers and other essential personnel.
She says the department is currently notifying health care providers about the updated testing guidance.
