BELLINGHAM, Wash. — COVID-19 will impact herbicide treatment in Whatcom County this spring.
The Whatcom County Public Works Department typically treats 250 miles of roads during their annual Road Shoulder Herbicide program, but this year, they will scale back.
They will only treat certain safety locations and noxious sites.
Property owners who do not wish to have their adjoining right-of-way treated must sign an agreement with the County and maintain the area themselves.
