WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day and several places in Whatcom County are taking part by hosting their own take back events.
Locals can dispose of your leftover prescription or over-the-counter medications at various pharmacies in Bellingham Saturday, including Hoagland Pharmacy, Unity Care Northwest and Haggen pharmacies.
The Bellingham. Ferndale and Lummi Nation Police Departments will also be hosting drug take-back events at their stations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They ask participants to remove any identifying information from the label or use a permanent marker to black it out before disposal.
