BELLINGHAM, Wash. — After months of being closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, local libraries are reopening.

Whatcom County Library System buildings are now open to the public with modified services, limited hours, and entry requirements for in-person visits in accordance with Washington’s Safe Start plan.

Masks are required.

Library staff encourage community members to plan their visit by calling their local library for branch-specific service details.

The system’s 10 locations in the county are open, but the Bellingham Public Library is still offering curbside pick-up only at the downtown location, which remains closed due to remodeling construction.
