WHATCOM COUNTY – Another strong employment report for Whatcom County.
The area added 2,000 jobs last month compared to the previous year.
All the gains are in the private sector with manufacturing leading the way with an increase of 800 positions.
Construction added 400 jobs.
The 4.5 percent unemployment rate is more than a percent lower than last year and down slightly from August.
