BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Whatcom County man was convicted Tuesday on 5 counts of child molestation and rape.
Rene Phillip Dallas was arrested in January 2018 for raping and molesting his former girlfriend’s daughter in Ferndale more than a decade earlier, when she was 11-years-old.
The victim’s mother had broken up with Dallas after she caught him spying on her daughter changing clothes in 2007.
The victim was too scared at the time to report the molestation and rape.
