BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County residents are banding together to help those in need during the coronavirus outbreak.
The Bellingham COVID-19 Community Helpers Facebook page aims to connect able-bodied “helpers” with those who need a helping hand to stay safe.
Nearly 3,500 members regularly post offers as well as requests for services like grocery delivery and childcare.
The primary goal of the group is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community and they have outlined several safety protocols for members to follow.
