BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Taxable retail sales were up 6.2% in Whatcom County during the second quarter of the year compared to the same time in 2017.
The Washington Department of Revenue reports we had a total of $1.1 billion in taxable retail sales during that period.
Total retail trade, which excludes more volatile industries like services and construction, was up 6.9% in the second quarter at $504 million.
