SEATTLE, Wash. — Memorial Day is not only the unofficial start to summer, it also marks the beginning of the 100 Deadliest Days for Teen Drivers and a new study narrows down the most dangerous counties for them.
Davis Law Group of Seattle reports Whatcom County is the 16th most dangerous in the state with twenty-seven fatal accidents involving teens between 2013-2017, making up 10% of all fatal crashes.
However, setting aside percentages and looking at the most populated areas, Clark, Pierce and Snohomish counties each have more than 100 fatal teen accidents in that time frame, while King County has 267.
Ferry, Garfield and Wahkiakum were the safest with no fatal teen accidents during the years studied.
