BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Two inmates assigned to a work crew in Whatcom County are on the run.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office reports the crew vehicle was parked near the intersection of Northwest and W. Smith Road around noon Monday when two men fled, ignoring orders to stop.
Deputies immediately searched the area with the help of a K9 team and a CBP helicopter, but didn’t find them.
The men have been identified as 25-year-old Jonathan E. Pickett of Ferndale and 24-year-old Christopher J. McCracken of Blaine
Pickett is described as a white male, 5’10”, 180 lbs., with brown shoulder-length hair possibly wearing a Kennedy Space Center jacket and blue jeans.
McCracken is described as a white male, 5’08”, 140 lbs. with short brown hair and was last known to be wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans.
