OLYMPIA, Wash. — Whatcom residents can spend this Valentine’s Day out on the town as we head into Phase 2 early.
Governor Inslee announced Thursday that all of the state’s regions except South Central would move into the new phase in the Roadmap to Recovery plan starting Monday.
But, Inslee issued a release announcing he would allow these areas to move over Sunday instead, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
He says this will create more options for restaurants to make Valentine’s Day special for customers as they can reopen at 25% capacity.
Inslee asks people to celebrate safely and adds that, if it’s a first date that doesn’t go well, remind them to stay six feet away from you.
