EVERETT, Wash. – William J. Elfo, a son of Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo and his wife Zulma, died on Thanksgiving night, almost a year after he suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car crash.
Sheriff Elfo posted on Facebook that William passed away peacefully with his father and mother at his side at Providence Everett Hospice at 11:47 p.m. Thursday.
William Elfo had been treated in Seattle and Everett after he was injured in the crash on December 18th, 2018.
Sheriff Elfo thanks the community for the love and prayers they’ve received in support and says the family is in seclusion.
