PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – More than 30 miles of I-84 east of Portland, Oregon, were closed Tuesday as crews battled a growing wildfire in the Columbia River Gorge.

KOMO reported troopers have identified a 15-year-old boy from Vancouver, Washington as a suspect in causing the fire and believe more people were with him setting off fireworks

The fire has caused evacuations and even sparked blazes in Washington on the other side of the Columbia River.

Hundreds of people have been forced to evacuate because of the seven-square mile fire that started Saturday.

The blaze, which officials think may have been caused by fireworks, rained down ash on Portland to the west.
