PROSSER, Wash. — State fire resources have been called in to support local fire fighters working to put out a wildfire in Benton County near Prosser.
The Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal Esther Hernandez says the fire started Wednesday evening and threatens both crops and buildings. It is currently estimated at about 2,500 acres.
A Level 2 evacuation order has been issued, meaning people can stay in their homes but should be prepared to leave if conditions change.
