SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) — The powerful windstorm that knocked out power for thousands of people in Western Washington also grounded all Alaska Airlines flights for about an hour early Sunday morning.
The airline says all its flights were grounded around 4:20 AM by a power outage in the Seattle area, where its operations are based.
An airline spokeswoman says 27 flights were delayed and five were canceled during the one hour standstill.
