BELLINGHAM, WA – Strong winds will be hitting the region this weekend in addition to heavy snow in the North Cascades.
The National Weather Service says a robust weather system is coming Friday evening into Saturday.
They’re issuing a wind advisory for the majority of lowland areas across Western Washington, with wind speeds at 20-30 mph and gusts up to 50 mph.
A winter storm warning is still in effect from 10 pm Friday evening to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Forecasters are advising travelers to drive carefully and keep an extra flashlight, food and water in the car in case of emergency.
