BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for northwest Washington, including the lowlands of western Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
That includes areas from Sumas to Bellingham, Point Roberts and Lummi Island in Whatcom County.
The Burlington and Mount Vernon area, La Conner and Anacortes could also see significant snowfall.
Total accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are possible.
Up to two feet of snow could fall in the Cascades, including the Mount Baker Ski area and passes over the mountains.
The Winter Storm Watch is in effect until Wednesday, November 30th, at 4 p.m.
