A winter weather advisory will turn into a winter storm warning Monday in the Cascades.
The National Weather Service is expecting several feet of snow to fall today and tomorrow in the Whatcom and Skagit County Cascades, including the Mount Baker Ski Area.
Moderate snow this morning is predicted above 3500 feet, then tonight the snow level drops to 2500 feet and heavy snowfall is expected.
The weather service warns there will be a significant drop in visibility and travel will be very difficult, if not impossible.
