SEATTLE, Wash. — Several winter weather systems moving through the state over the next week could cause disruptions for holiday travelers.
The weather service in Seattle says snow levels will hover between 2500 and 5000 feet of elevation into early next week, with heavy mixed snow and rain accumulations through the period.
There is a winter weather advisory Thursday for mountain passes including Stevens and Snoqualmie; travelers will encounter compact snow and ice on the passes.
Forecasts are also warning of increased avalanche threat on the mountains, and landslides in the lowlands.
