BLAINE, Wash. — The elderly woman who was found dead in a submerged car at the Blaine Harbor boat launch has been identified as Eleanor Lenzner of British Columbia.

Blaine Police say the 87-year-old crossed the border into Blaine, apparently became disoriented and drove off the boat ramp at low tide.

Boaters found her vehicle underwater at high tide Sunday morning.

The Medical Examiner performed an autopsy and her death was found to be due to accidental drowning.
