BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A 35-year old woman was booked into Whatcom County Jail last week after allegedly gathering $73,000 worth of merchandise to steal from a Bellis Fair Mall store before being found.
Bellingham Police say Tina Marie Louise Davis-Taylor hid in the JCPenney until all employees had left for the night.
The Bellingham Herald reports an alarm tipped police off to the intrusion early Thursday morning and they found Davis-Taylor hiding in the store.
She was reported to have multiple bags, backpacks and suitcases full of unpaid merchandise when she was caught, in addition to jewelry and gift cards.
