BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A woman was taken to the hospital following a house fire in the Sunnyland neighborhood.
In a Facebook post, Bellingham Fire officials said a witness saw smoke coming out of a home on E North St around 1 pm Monday afternoon.
Crews said the woman was outside the home when they arrived and she was taken to St Joseph’s Hospital for treatment.
The fire was contained to the front of the home, but smoke damaged parts of the home’s exterior as well.
Fire officials have not disclosed what may have started the fire.
