BLEWETT PASS, Wash. – An woman who had been missing for several days has been found alive in Chelan County.
KOMO News reports that 68-year-old Lynell McFarland was supposed to meet with family in the Spokane area last Thursday night.
McFarland’s daughter said that her mother last texted her as she was leaving Ellensburg around 5 pm.
A WSDOT worker found her and her car late Monday night, November 22nd, near Blewett Pass on Highway 97.
Investigators found that her car had slid off the roadway and down a 40 foot ravine.
Kittitas and Chelan County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to rescue her by rappelling down the ravine and bringing her to safety.
McFarland was taken to the hospital to be treated for hypothermia, and is expected to make a full recovery.
