OLYMPIA, Wash. — Department of Transportation crews have been discreetly clearing the North Cascades Highway.

WSDOT reports annual snow clearing resumed on April 13th, but the work wasn’t announced to prevent unnecessary travel during the governor’s “stay home stay healthy” order.

Work was resumed as the highway is an important link between east and western Washington as well as a popular scenic drive.

Clearing is expected to be completed in about two weeks.
