SEATTLE, Wash. – Striking Starbucks workers took to the front lines of one of the coffee chain’s iconic locations.

Workers picketed outside of the Starbucks Reserve Roastery on Sunday, July 17th, accusing the company of union busting at other Seattle locations.

Earlier this month, Starbucks announced that five Seattle stores would be permanently closing due to high crime rates.

However, KOMO reports that workers are questioning the company’s motives in shutting down the stores.

Picketers are demanding higher wages and better working conditions, adding that Starbucks is refusing to acknowledge their unionized locations.
