MARYSVILLE, Wash. — Two people were killed in a wrong-way crash on Highway 20 near the Swinomish Slough yesterday.

The state patrol reports 76-year-old Raymond Koladycz of Oak Harbor was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when he struck another vehicle, driven by 62-year-old Jill Powell of Mount Vernon, head on.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene and no passengers were involved.

The accident occurred at 12 noon and severely impacted traffic in the area for hours.
