Washington State University has been Zooming in on the effects of high potency cannabis in a recent study.

Researchers at WSU Department of Psychology used the platform Zoom to observe cannabis users as they consumed high potency cannabis and cannabis concentrates purchased themselves from various dispensaries across Washington state.

They then performed a series of cognitive tests to determine how memory and decision-making were effected.

Compared to a sober control group, researchers found no impact on users’ decision-making.

They did find some impairment in memory related to free recall, source memory, and false memories.

While these findings are in line with previous research, this is one of the few to study high potency cannabis, due to federal restrictions.
