The Cougars and the Huskies dominated the PAC-12 football Player of the Week awards for week 3. Washington State Quarterback Luke Falk was the the offensive winner, while Washington receiver/return man Dante Pettis took the special teams honors.

Falk went 37-of-49 for 396 yards and 6 touchdowns in WSU’s 52-23 win over Oregon State. The senior now has 98 career touchdown passes, the 4th most in PAC-12 history.

Pettis tied two NCAA records and one school record in the Huskies’ 48-16 win over Fresno State. He returned a punt 77 yards for a touchdown, tying the NCAA record for career punt return TD’s, with his eighth. He’s also the third player in NCAA history to return a punt for a score in three consecutive games. The senior has already tied the UW record for single-season punt return TD’s with three this year.

Pettis also had five receptions for 92 yards and three touchdowns in the win. He also added a 39-yard pass completion on the first offensive play of the game.

Cal linebacker Devante Downs crashed the Evergreen State party earning the defensive player award. The senior totaled a career-high and game-high-tying 14 tackles, 2 sacks and 3.0 tackles for loss in the Bears 27-16 win over Ole Miss.
