BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom Transportation Authority has three retired vans they want to give away to deserving local organizations.
Spokesperson Maureen McCarthy says they’re looking for nonprofits or “people who are meeting a community need and who are providing transportation to a place people can’t get to by WTA services.”
The vans seat either 12 or 15 people and she says they’ve been very well maintained.
Organizations can get application information at the WTA website.
The application deadline is November 2.
