BELLINGHAM, Wash. — After public backlash, proposed changes to Whatcom County’s bus service have been revised.
Whatcom Transportation Authority held a public hearing last fall to discuss proposed service changes that would take effect in June 2019 and received lots of comments on the proposed elimination of service on a section of Samish Way.
WTA says they have modified their proposal to preserve service there which would require them to redesign some of their existing routes.
They are now seeking comment on the revised batch of changes at a meeting held on January 8 at Carl Cozier Elementary School.
